Urban music singer David Sánchez Badillo, better known as Tempo, is in trouble after suffering a spectacular accident early Wednesday morning in Puerto Rico allegedly because of his cell phone.

The police found an accident and abandoned car with traces of blood that turned out to be the property of the artist, so the authorities are now looking for him to question him.

According to the police commander of the city of Caguas, where the vehicle was found, the accident investigation is in charge of the United States Anti-Drug Agency (DEA), reported the newspaper El Nuevo Día.

According to the statements of the singer's lawyer, Tempo is in stable condition receiving private medical attention for injuries sustained to the clavicle and neck. In addition, he specified, in the accident there was no other person involved.

"The cell phone fell out, locating the cell phone he lost control and had an accident," the lawyer told Primera Hora. "He had no accident with anyone, so there is no complaint about it."

However, the authorities want to question the interpreter to find out more details of what happened. If you do not appear voluntarily or through your lawyer, you will be summoned to testify.

Tempo is currently on probation as a result of having been convicted in 2004 of distributing heroin, cocaine, marijuana, crack and illegal possession of weapons. He was initially sentenced to 24 years, but his legal team managed to reduce the sentence and the singer served 11 years and six months in prison.
